Computer Drama {need your help!}

So, the unthinkable has happened.  I have been dealing with a computer crisis for about a week now.  Before any of my past clients flip out, don’t worry about your images.  I have backed up and have all previous sessions safely stored.  However, what I do not have is access to any previous email correspondence or my Outlook calendar.  I have relied on the calendar for appointments and reminders.

I have had to do a system recovery on my computer, which is like wiping your computer back to the default settings.  Without all of the software that has been accumulated along the way.  It will take some time to sort it out.

The reason I am sharing this awful experience with my clients out there is because I need for anyone who has an appointment with me at any point in the future to contact me ASAP.  I do not have any email contacts and no way of checking correspondence.  If you are a bride, don’t worry.  I have those dates.

This is for family sessions, senior sessions, newborn sessions, children’s portrait sessions.  Basically, anyone out there that I have made an appointment with for the next couple of months.

Jade plays softball with my little Gracie and her mom, Rhonda, wanted to schedule a session for the family.  Rhonda is also one of Cooper’s favorite ladies at the ball field.  Cooper has good taste.  This is from one of our Spring Special sessions.

I have been so ready for warm weather and can’t wait to have sessions outside again!  I have had a lot of clients asking about my special for this year so I know you guys must be ready, too!

A few details:

• Sessions will last around 30-45 minutes the special is not designed for large families or newborns.
• All sessions will be outside and you can choose one of the designated dates in Birmingham or Huntsville. Or you can choose to come to Boaz.
• Sessions fees are waived.
• Offer expires June 1, 2010 -The special will not apply if your session is booked after June 1st.
  

DATES:

• April 17th – Birmingham
• May 8th – Boaz
• May 15th – Huntsville

Exact locations will be determined later.

If you cannot make one of these dates, I will take sessions anytime in Boaz during the week. Just call or email to schedule your appointment.

I had a blast photographing Whitney for her bridal session at Noccalula Falls.  She was so beautiful and willing to let me drag her all over the place.  She even laid in the grass in her dress (gasp!).   Thanks Whitney!

Baby Announcements

So I am revamping the website.  Instead of a website in one place and a blog in another, it is all right here – the blog site.  You will notice the “galleries” section along with other categories that were on the old site.  A new feature that I am very excited about is the “slideshow” tab.  Yes, I have joined the modern age and started putting together slideshows for my wedding clients.  Yayy me! (and them!)

One of the most exciting changes in the site is the ability for you, the customer, to place your order directly from the proofing section.  Once you log into your proofing gallery you will see those options.  Great, huh?

Clearly, I will have to blog a lot more often than in the past.  Which is kind of the point.  There will be more updated information here to keep you coming back – hopefully   I also think the new format will be a great way for prospective clients to learn more about me, my personality and my style.

So for my first official blog site post, let me celebrate along with Owen.  I photographed him recently in honor of his first birthday.
