Bella is 9 months old and was a dream to photograph! She didn’t mind the outfit changes and seemed quite content to give us lots of sweet little grins no matter where we perched her.
This is probably one of my favorite ages to photograph a baby. They can sit up fine, are easily amused, and can’t run away! 
We were running behind on sessions that day but Mom and Dad (Hillary and Jamie) were super nice and patient. Thanks bunches, guys!
The location is Green Mtn Park in Huntsville.

Brooks {Newborn Photography}

Little Brooks came in for his first photo shoot recently. Newborn sessions are always fun and I had a new prop I wanted to try out. Brooks seemed quite comfy snuggled up on that stump and he was particularly quiet wrapped in the cheesecloth. Whatever works, right?

Brant {chunky monkey baby session}

My friend, Rachel, brought her new little man, Brant, for a studio session the other day and boy did we have some fun! Rachel is a fellow photography enthusiast so she was up for any ideas. Brant was so adorable and put up with our shenanigans for as long as he could stand it. I will say that I have never had so much wee-wee going on in the studio! By the end of the session we were all soaked and I had quite a pile of laundry.
Thank you Rachel for letting me photograph your little chunky monkey! He is a sugar pie! And a special thank you to Sydney and Cooper for playing so good together (ish) while we had our marathon session!
Rachel’s friend, Lana, made this precious little pea pod cocoon for her. How sweet is this?
I was totally in love with the close up images of his little face! Sweet, sweet, sweet . . .

Tanner {studio baby}

My friend, Carla, came to visit and brought Tanner. Tanner is about 6 weeks old now and had the most adorable hair!! He had what appeared to be a little mohawk! I was totally obsessed with taking pictures of his little hairdo. I loved it.
Thanks for being so patient, Carla! Tanner is beautiful and and you are a natural at being a Mom!
MaKenna {studio session}

You know how people say about babies, “Oh! She/he looks just like a little doll!” ? Well, little Miss Makenna is 5 months old and literally looks like a doll! Her mom brought her in the other day for a session and she is so tiny and adorable and looked like a little Victorian doll to me! Mom really wanted at least one picture of her smiling, but Makenna just wanted to check out the surroundings and chew on her hands and fingers. We did end up getting a couple of her with a little smile, though.

Sweet Babies!

I had a couple of baby sessions recently. One baby was 2 1/2 weeks old and the other was 6 weeks. Both were adorable!
Little Brayden was 2 1/2 weeks and this was a birthday gift for the new mom, Amy(way to go dad!). Anytime you make the decision to get a newborn baby naked, you are just asking for trouble. Amy brought her mother Becky along to help. Becky was the unfortunate target of a little surprise sprinkling action from Brayden. Never a dull moment. Sorry Becky!
And then there was Laiken. He was 6 weeks old and could not have cared less if he was naked. I have never seen a tiny baby so content just laying around naked. He just snuggled up and napped most of the time!
And here is a last one of Laiken that makes me smile. I love the angle of this shot. Makes you just want to scoop that little sweetie pie up and cuddle, huh?
