You know how people say about babies, “Oh! She/he looks just like a little doll!” ? Well, little Miss Makenna is 5 months old and literally looks like a doll! Her mom brought her in the other day for a session and she is so tiny and adorable and looked like a little Victorian doll to me! Mom really wanted at least one picture of her smiling, but Makenna just wanted to check out the surroundings and chew on her hands and fingers. We did end up getting a couple of her with a little smile, though.

Spring Special {Update!}

I have decided to have a session at Noccalula Falls in Gadsden on May 8th. So if you would like to book your session for that day, contact me ASAP. There are only a few spots for that day due to the park hours.

My Big News!! {Southern Bliss Photography, LLC}

Okay, so I have been waiting a long time to finally announce my big news! I have merged the wedding portion of my business with my good friend Amy Ross. She and I have formed a new business, Southern Bliss Photography, LLC. We will specialize in weddings and special event photography. We have shot a few weddings together and are very aware of how important it is to capture the day perfectly for the bride and groom. Working together for our clients will just ensure that we provide the highest level of service for our clients. We have our portfolio on our WEBSITE. But, the place where all the action will be is on our BLOG. We also have FACEBOOK FAN PAGE. We would love for you to become a fan and spread the word to your friends.

We will still continue with our separate portrait businesses for now so we will continue booking sessions separately for portraiture.

Spring It On! {Spring Mini Sessions 2010}

I have been so ready for warm weather and can’t wait to have sessions outside again! I have had a lot of clients asking about my special for this year so I know you guys must be ready, too!

A few details:

Sessions will last around 30-45 minutes the special is not designed for large families or newborns.
All sessions will be outside and you can choose one of the designated dates in Birmingham or Huntsville. Or you can choose to come to Boaz.
Sessions fees are waived.
Offer expires June 1, 2010 -The special will not apply if your session is booked after June 1st.

DATES:

April 17th – Birmingham
May 8th – Boaz
May 15th – Huntsville

Exact locations will be determined later.

If you cannot make one of these dates, I will take sessions anytime in Boaz during the week. Just call or email to schedule your appointment.

Featured {Lollipop Events & Design}

The girls at Lollipop Events & Design were in charge of the styling and production of the Jessica Claire workshop that I attended in January. The location had to be changed TWICE so they had to work super hard to be sure the event was a success. And it was! The shoot was beautifully styled with the most amazing details I have ever seen.

Natasha {model session}

I recently traveled to Japan International Karate Do Academy in Trussville, AL for a sports session. While there, the owner’s daughter, Natasha, stopped by and we had a great time doing some modeling shots. Natasha is an aspiring model and has the most AMAZING skin I have ever seen. It was so much fun to work with her. She is naturally photogenic and is so comfortable in front of the camera! It’s pretty rare for me to find a subject that loves being photographed.
